School leavers receive their HSC results on December 14 and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) on December 15.
Those awarded an ATAR higher or lower than expected may need to change their university course preferences.
They have just two days to change preferences for main December 2 Round uni offers made through the University Admissions Centre (UAC). The UAC deadline to change course preferences for the December 2 Round is midnight, December 17.
A majority of 2017 NSW HSC students will receive university offers on December 21. January Round 1 offers are released by UAC on January 21.
Whether enrolling then taking a gap year or heading to tertiary study in 2018, school leavers can get questions answered by academics, support staff and senior uni students before UAC preferences close.
