A 38-year-old man has died after he was fatally stabbed in Sydney's inner east on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to Talbot Place, Woolloomooloo shortly after 9am following reports of the stabbing. The victim treated at the scene for stab wounds to his abdomen, before he was transported to St Vincent's Hospital. He died a short time later.
Kings Cross Police commenced investigations and arrested a man in a Potts Point mall just after 11.30am.
The 40-year old was charged with murder and taken to Kings Cross police station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
The accused was refused bail and will face Central Local Court on Tuesday.
