A man has been charged with murder after his wife was stabbed to death at their home in Sydney's south.
The 58-year-old man will face court on Tuesday over the death of his 45-year-old wife at a villa on Valda Street in Bexley on Monday night.
The couple's 18-year-old daughter is believed to have called triple-0 about 6.45pm on Monday to say that her mother had been stabbed and was unconscious.
The teenager also suffered serious stab wounds to her hands, police said.
Paramedics arrived at the home a short time later but could not save the 45-year-old woman, who died at the scene.
An 18-year-old was taken to St George Hospital suffering serious injuries to her hands.
Police said that about 7pm on Monday, a 58-year-old man walked into Kogarah police station and spoke to detectives.
He was later charged with murder and wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Kogarah Local Court on Tuesday.
Police remained outside the Valda Street home on Tuesday morning and were seen speaking to a number of neighbours.
They have also spoken to a number of family members who arrived at the home on Monday night.
