The Wests Tigers have bolstered their 2022 ranks with the immediately signing of Starford To'a for the next two seasons.
To'a was released from the final two seasons of his contract with the Newcastle Knights to take up the deal.
"The Newcastle Knights have agreed to release Starford To'a from the remaining two years of his current contract," the club said in a statement.
"Boht parties agreed an immediate release would be mutually beneficial, allowing To'a to take up a new contract with another NRL club.
"Knights players and staff would like to thank Starford for his contribution to the club and his work in the community. We wish him all the best for the future."
The 21-year-old made his NRL debut in 2019 - scoring a try in his first match to boot - and has since made 20 first-grade appearances with 11 tries under his belt.
To'a has mostly played on the wing, though he could slip into fullback or centre positions if required.
Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire said the Auckland-born outside back would be a great addition to the club.
"Staford is a talented player with NRL experience and I'm really pleased to welcome him to our team," he said.
"Starford will be a great addition to the talented young squad that we're building and I look forward to him joining the team ahead of the 2022 NRL season."
Chief executive Justin Pascoe also welcomed the Junior Kiwis and Australian Schoolboys representative.
"We are looking forward to watching him improve further in the NRL at the Wests Tigers," he said.
To'a is set to join up with the club immediately to begin pre-season training with the squad.
