A man has been charged over a stabbing in Wetherill Park earlier this week.
Police say emergency services were called to a business on The Horsley Drive, Wetherill Park, following reports of a fight at 8.10pm on Wednesday, January 12.
A NSW Police statement said Fairfield Police Area Command officers attended a short time later and found two men with injuries.
"A 24-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a stab wound to his lower leg before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition," the statement said.
"Police were told the man would undergo surgery later today.
"A 28-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a lacerated finger before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition."
Police say they established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"Following investigations, officers attended a Hinchinbrook Drive, Hinchinbrook, where they arrested a 31-year-old man," the police statement said
"He was taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with two counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily."
Police say the man was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Friday, January 14 2022).
