Prairiewood High School students Kevin and Steven Nguyen make a lot of sense when it comes to finance.
The pair were part of several elective commerce students who participated in the recent Suncorp ESSI (Earning, Spending, Saving and Investing) Money Challenge.
This national challenge, run by the not-for-profit Financial Basics Foundation, aims to develop financial literacy amongst high school students by getting them to participate in an online simulation designed to replicate real life financial situations.
Out of 3200 students that participated in the challenge, Steven placed second nationally and first in NSW in the 16-18 age group to win a $1000 cash prize.
Kevin, Steven's identical twin, placed third overall in NSW and fourth nationally finishing with a balance of $41,287 - which was $585 behind his brother.
