Who can leave Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool LGAs to work?

The public health order.
The public health order.

The state government has backflipped on its original decision to only allow emergency services and healthcare workers from Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool to leave their local government area with several exempted authorised workers now permitted.

Anyone who works in any of the authorised industries can go to work but needs to get tested every three days. Asymptomatic people do not need to wait for a negative test before going to work although they must carry proof of the test.

Fairfield mayor Frank Carbone said the original decision caused "confusion, heartache and utter chaos."
