LATEST COVID-19 DEVELOPMENTS:
* Greater Brisbane has been ordered into a three-day lockdown after a coronavirus cluster grew to seven cases with evidence of "significant community transmission".
* Four new local COVID-19 cases were reported in Queensland on Monday, all of which are likely close contacts of three existing and historical cases.
* Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says the infected people have been out in the community and travelled to central Queensland and northern NSW.
* To stem transmission, Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay, Ipswich and Redlands will go into a three-day lockdown from 5pm on Monday.
* People will only be allowed to leave home to do essential work, shop, care for people or exercise. Greater Brisbane schools and all non-essential businesses must close from Monday afternoon.
* Ms Palaszczuk said the lockdown would be reviewed on Thursday, ahead of the Easter holiday break this weekend.
* Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, the ACT and Northern Territory have moved to restrict incoming travel from Brisbane and the state over the growing cluster.
* NSW is requesting only people who have been to known exposure sites to self-isolate and get tested.
* NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian also asked residents eyeing a trip north over Easter to change their plans.
* Prime Minister Scott Morrison backed the snap lockdown, saying it would allow Queensland health authorities to get on top of the latest outbreak.
* Federal Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese said the vaccine rollout was Australia's ticket out of the pandemic and the lockdown showed the nation needs to "get a wriggle on".
* More than 541,000 Australians have received their first vaccines, including 259,000 in the past week.
* The federal government has agreed to halve Queensland's weekly intake of overseas travellers into hotel quarantine from the current figure of 1300.
* In sport, the Brisbane Lions' Easter Thursday AFL home game against Collingwood has been shifted to Melbourne, while Brisbane's NRL team will fly to Sydney on Monday afternoon - a day earlier than planned - to prepare for Friday's clash with the Storm at AAMI Park.
AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Australia reported four new locally acquired cases of the coronavirus in Queensland on Monday. There were 14 overseas acquired cases reported in hotel quarantine: six in Queensland, three in Western Australia, two each in NSW and South Australia, and one in Victoria.
* The national death toll is 909: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 6, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
