Victorian alpine residents awoke to an usual sight on Tuesday, with snow dusting Falls Creek and Mount Hotham in north eastern Vic.
Currently in their summer season the snow resorts are focusing on mountain biking and hiking but date received a smattering of snow as temperatures dropped overnight Monday.
The mercury dropped to -1.4 degrees Celsius at 7am on Tuesday at Falls Creek with the Bureau of Meteorology saying it would have felt like -6.9 degrees.

It was slightly warmer on Mount Hotham were the bureau recorded an overnight low of 1.4 degrees Celsius at 12am.
Cool temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week with a low -1 degrees forecast on Friday at Mount Hotham and zero degrees forecast in Falls Creek.
Temperatures are predicted to fluctuate between a minimum of eight degrees and maximum of 30 this week in Albury-Wodonga.
