Sydney United 58's midfielder Glen Trifiro said he has one thing on his mind after being selected for the NSW National Premier Leagues Men's team to take on Queensland on December 12 at Perry Park.
"Winning," said the grand final player of the match.
"We are looking forward to giving a good account of ourselves and representing NSW to the best of our abilities It's always great to be selected in a representative squad.
"I've had many NSW vs QLD battles as a youth player, they are always enjoyable matches."
Trifiro is one of three members of United's championship winning team selected for the NSW team with Yianni Perkatis and Matt Sim also part of the 16-player squad to be coached by Luke Wilkshire. Marconi Stallions duo Nenad Vekic and Giorgio Speranza were also selected based on performances throughout the 2020 NPL NSW Men's rebooted season.
The squad contains four players from the Rockdale team which United 58 defeated in the grand final.
The squad will train out of Football NSW's Valentine Sports Park in preparation and depart for Brisbane on the morning of the match.
"I truly believe that this is a fantastic and talented squad which I am really excited to work with," Wilkshire said.
"The players have deservedly been selected after being recognized for their performances throughout what has been a tough 2020 season."
