Mulgoa MP Tanya Davies has described Premier Gladys Berejiklian as the "hardest working Premier we have ever had".

Friday marked the third day disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire fronted the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

ICAC is investigating whether Mr Maguire misused his public office in the pursuit of his own financial interests.

Ms Berejiklian admitted to the commission on Monday she had "a close personal relationship" with Mr Maguire, which continued after she sacked him in 2018.

Ms Davies told the Champion in a statement: "Gladys has led NSW through one of our most toughest periods including drought, fires, floods, COVID-19 and a recession."

Fairfield MP Guy Zangari said it is up to ICAC to determine any link or knowledge Ms Berejiklian had of Mr McGuire's business dealings.

"Irrespective of the high profile of the people involved in Operation Keppel, it is important for the Commission to be left to focus on its core responsibility of investigating concerns and maintaining integrity in the NSW public sector," he said.
