A man will face court today charged after police allegedly seized more than $33,000 worth of prohibited drugs during a vehicle search at Old Guildford yesterday. About 6.30pm, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command Proactive Crime Team attempted to stop a silver BMW 320i sedan on Boughton Street. The BMW stopped and police conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, police allegedly seized 45g of methylamphetamine, allegedly concealed under the centre console, heroin, mobile phones and $1300 cash. The total estimated potential street value of the drugs is $33,750. The driver, a 48-year-old man, and his passenger, a 19-year-old man, were arrested and taken to Granville Police Station. The driver was charged with supplying a prohibited drug (between indictable and commercial quantity), possessing a prohibited drug, and dealing with property proceeds of crime. The Guildford man was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today. The passenger was released pending further inquiries.
