A Bonnyrigg man is the mystery $100,000 winner of the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw on September 7.
The winning entry was purchased at Bonnyrigg Plaza Newsagent but because the ticket was unregistered, officials from the Lott has no way of contacting the winner and had to must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize. That happened today.
"I had no idea I won. I am actually at work, and I just decided to check my ticket quickly and that's when I realised," he said.
"I was shocked, but I had to keep the excitement down, which was hard.
"I am very happy. It will be a big help, especially during times like these.
"I always think how lucky people are to win a major prize, and now that lucky person is me.
"I can't wait to celebrate with all of my friends and my wife."
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, he said: "My wife really wants to do some travelling, but that's a bit hard at the moment.For now, we will just put it towards the mortgage and then when we can travel again, we will plan a few trips."
