Police appeal for information after shots fired at St Johns Park home

Police are appealing for public assistance after a public place shooting at St Johns Park last night.

About 11.35pm (September 1), police were called to a home on Runcorn Street, following reports numerous shots had been fired, damaging several windows and cars.

Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist forensic officers.

Nine people - including three children - were home at the time and no one was injured.

As part of ongoing inquiries, police are urging anyone with information about two dark coloured sedans and a dark coloured SUV, seen near the home around the time of the incident to contact police.

No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.
