A woman in her 30's from south-west Sydney is one of eight new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
However, NSW Health confirmed further testing is underway to determine if this is a recent, or a historical infection. Her close contacts, including some health staff at Liverpool Hospital, have been identified and are in home isolation.
The seven other cases are returned travellers in hotel quarantine.
There are 69 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health, with one in intensive care. In NSW, 2797 people are known to have recovered from COVID-19.
