Fairfield police are investigating after several vehicles were broken into on the top level of the Dutton Lane car park on Saturday (June 27) around 2pm.
Police are also looking to identify the owner of a pair of sunglasses which they believe were stolen from a vehicle parked in the car park on Saturday.

Drugs located at Cabramatta West
On Tuesday, June 23, police stopped a vehicle in Cabramatta West. A search of the vehicle located heroin and the vehicle had been unregistered since May, 15 2020. The 32-year-old man from Merrylands was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and using an unregistered vehicle. He will appear at Liverpool Local Court on July 20.
Disqualified driver caught
At 10pm on Thursday, June 25, police observed a motorcycle pull into a service station on The Horsley Drive without registration plates. The rider was stopped and not able to produce a driver's licence. Checks revealed he was disqualified from holding a licence until November 2021. The 24-year-old man from Fairfield East was charged with driving while disqualified and breach of bail and issued the following tickets:
- Unregistered vehicle: $686
- Uninsured vehicle: $686
- Not display registration plates: $457
He was bail refused to Downing Centre Local Court on July 14.
Crossbow located at Canley Heights
At 6pm on Thursday, June 25, police stopped a vehicle on Torrens Street, Canley Heights. The 34-year-old man from St Johns Park recorded a positive oral fluid drug test. A search of the vehicle located a crossbow and knife. Checks revealed his license was also suspended. Police are waiting the secondary results of the oral fluid test and will be charged with all the above offences.
