About 11.20pm on Friday, June 26, a Mitsubishi Lancer was allegedly detected travelling at 139km/k in a 70km/h zone on Woodville Road at Old Guildford.
Officers attached to Fairfield Highway Patrol stopped the vehicle and spoke to the 33-year-old driver. He was suspended from driving for six months and his vehicle was seized and impounded for a period of three months. He was issued with an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
The next day, on the same stretch of road, police saw a Honda Accord and a Lexus following each other, allegedly reaching speeds up to 130km/h. Officers pulled the Lexus over and spoke to the driver, a 21-year-old man, who was issued with an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and his licence was suspended. Officers then attended the registered address for the Honda and spoke to the 18-year-old, who was issued with an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and had his licence suspended for six months.
