Koonoona Park - the name of a small reserve that was previously located at the western end of Koonoona Avenue - is the proposed name for the new $1 million park being built for residents of Villawood and Carramar.

Residents are invited to have their say on the name for the 3200-square metre new park located at the corner of Karella and Koonoona avenues, Villawood.

The centrepiece of the new park will be a ground level ropes course. Other features include: a multiple seated swing set with a boat seat, flying fox, permanent outdoor table tennis table and half basketball court.

"The climbing structure will be the first of its kind in Fairfield City," Mayor Frank Carbone said.
