Cabramatta High School students are out of this world

Talk about taking one giant leap.

At the end of last year, 16 Cabramatta High School students went on a Space Camp at the U.S Space and Rocket Centre in Huntsville, Alabama,

Students worked as a team and undertook astronaut style training and numerous competitive challenges (including gravity training) alongside 300 students from across the world.

Their problem solving and critical thinking skills were rewarded when the Cabramatta High School team of students placed first to win the Commanders Cup. Year 11 student Colin Borom placed first overall for displaying exemplary leadership characteristics.

The students spent a year raising funds to pay for the trip with each student completing 172 hours of fundraising. They were also supported through the club grants program, via Cabramatta Bowling Club and Rotary.
