Marconi juniors Aidan Milicevic and Jetzen Lopez impressed Borussia Dortmund coaches during their train and trial visit in January.
The pair, who were selected following October's coaching clinic at Club Marconi, spent 12 days showcasing their skills for the Bundesliga giants in below freezing temperatures.
Aidan, 16, played 30-minutes for the top of the table Dortmund under-17 team in a trial match and impressed coaches with his energy on the ball. He has been given a strength program by BVB coaches and will be monitored at the next clinic in April.
The Canberra resident is the current Marconi under-18 player of the year and travels to Bossley Park three-times a week for training.
Jetzen, who joined Marconi in 2020, is at a level where he would be in BVB's starting under-13 team according to local coaches who liked his technique and passing.
The plan is to monitor Jetzen's progress with a new training program at the next BVB clinic at Club Marconi.
Off the pitch, the pair attended a Bundesliga match where Borussia Dortmund beat FC Koln 5-1 in front of 81,350 fans and attended and met the likes of Erling Haaland at a training session.
They also visited the German Football Museum, went on a BVB Stadium Tour and used a 'Footbonaut' - one of only three machines in the world to test and help technical skills.
