Wetherill Park-based Macedonian folkloric dance group MKUD Ilinden Western Sydney are preparing for a big 2020 with performances planned for the Royal Easter Show and local cultural events around Sydney, Wollongong, Queanbeyan and Melbourne. Employment Expo: MatchWorks has joined forces with Community First Step to host a free expo to boost training and job pathways for unemployed job seekers in the Fairfield region. Bike rides: Thursdays, 8am, from the WSCN bike shed at the back of Fairfield showground, off Moonlight Road, Prairiewood. Fairfield Better Together Runners Club: A free, weekly, a little over five-kilometre timed run or walk for all abilities. The course starts at the obstacle course at Fairfield Park and finishes at Honour Avenue, Vine Street. It starts at 8am and the run or walk should take less than an a hour.

Fill your pantry: Anglicare Sydney, with St Johns Park Anglican Church, has a Mobile Community Pantry. Once a fortnight, a van drives to the church at 73 Edensor Park, St Johns Park, to distribute affordable fresh food to those who need to stretch their budget further. For a $10 contribution.
