Albert Aldahawi - the model/wrestler/Instagram influencer - can remember the time when he couldn't afford to go to a wrestling show.

"Growing up we always wanted to go to wrestling shows but trying to get $40 or $50 for a wrestling show was really hard," the Jordanian refugee said.

"So now I want to give back and give the community a wrestling show for a decent prize and give back to the community for supporting me throughout the years ."

Better known as "Albie", the former Bossley Park resident has organised a wrestling show on Friday, January 24 at Nineveh Reception in Edensor Park to raise money for the St Hurmizd's Cathedral and St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School.

Last year he did a similar event and raised $7000 for the church and to buy sports equipment to encourage the local community to get active at a younger age.

Albie has more than 23 million hits on his YouTube account.

He is also holding a meet and greet on Saturday, December 21 at Stockland Wetherill Park at 2pm. The first 200 people will receive a wrestling gift bag with toys.

"Growing up as a refugee in Fairfield I know how appreciative everyone would be during these school holidays to be able to get gifts for they're kids and enjoy a wrestling show at a small price for charity," said Albie, who fled war in the Middle East and spent a year trapped on Christmas Island.
