Bye bye student debt: Cabramatta man is the latest Lotto millionaire

A Cabramatta man in his 20s said the first thing he will do is pay off his student debt after taking home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million in last night's Wednesday Lotto draw.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was the only division one winning entry nationally. He only started playing Monday and Wednesday Lotto a month ago

"I still can't quite believe it, but I can see it on my ticket. I guess you can say I'm a millionaire now. That will take some getting used to," he said.

"I've won smaller prizes before but never anything past three digits I don't think I'll be able to focus at work today... or for the next few weeks.

"It's all still sinking in. I might not believe it's really true until I see it in my bank account.

"But the first thing I will do is pay off my student debt. After that, who knows. It really will make for a stress-free 2020."

The winner purchased his 50-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com.

The winning numbers in draw 3939 were 3, 22, 8, 41, 4 and 28. The supplementary numbers were 43 and 12.
