PET OF THE WEEK | Friendly cattle dog needs someone to show him the ropes

Friendly: Jeffrey.
Friendly: Jeffrey.

Jeffrey is a friendly and bouncy cattle dog who makes friends with all humans he meets.

The nine-month-old gets along well with all people and would like to share his new home with family members. Being a puppy, Jeffrey will need his owners to understand his breed and know to show him the ropes to help him settle into his new home.

Jeffrey is a bit of a clown and loves to romp around and play all day. He would excel at further training classes with his new family, to help curb his enthusiasm and channel it into good manners.

Jeffrey would need to be the only furry guy in the household, as he prefers to get all the attention to himself. He may get used to having some doggie friends but at this stage it would be best for him to have some guidance before any meetings!

All dogs adopted from Sydney Dogs and Cats Home come behaviourally assessed, vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm treated, microchipped and lifetime registered with council.

Sydney Dogs and Cats Home is a council pound and not-for-profit community facility that looks after lost animals from Fairfield Council. Since 1946, it has provided refuge to homeless animals across Sydney including Bayside and Georges River.

Three week trials are available for all adoptions. They open their doors to 3000 pets each year and never place a time limit on any animal awaiting adoption.
