A wave pool with artificial beach, new amenities and cabanas and non-aquatic activities are in the pipeline for Aquatopia which reopens on Saturday, September 21.
Last season, a record 78,269 visitors attended the water park located inside Prairiewood Leisure Centre which opened two new exciting attractions: the Fishpipe and the 20-metre high-speed slide tower.
The new attractions joined the 10-metre slide tower, Adventure Aqua Tower, Wave Rider and toddlers' play pool.
Fairfield mayor Frank Carbone said Aquatopia underscores council's commitment to provide the people of Fairfield with "exciting and quality" spaces to visit.
"It fills me with great joy when I visit Aquatopia during the warmer months and see so many happy, smiling faces and children enjoying fun outdoor activities," he said.
"The popularity of Aquatopia has seen the park continue to grow since it opened in 2016. I can't wait to reveal the next exciting chapter to local families in the coming months."
Aquatopia is open weekends between September 21, 2019 and April 28 2020 and every day during the school holidays (except Christmas Day).
