PET OF THE WEEK | Play it again, old man Sam

Old Man Sam is a large male mixed breed who's tan and black and about 10, or older. He's a very senior gent looking for a home to see out his final years.

He's affectionate and enjoys the company of people. His favourite things are pats, roast chicken and a comfy bed.

Old Man Sam has few teeth, growths around his face and body and dermatitis. He's wonky on his feet and has pressure sores. Staff don't think he's had a great life.

But now it's finally his chance to find a cosy home and know some love and kindness. He'd be very content in a quiet, calm home with no other animals.

Keen to meet this old chap? Come out to Liverpool Animal Shelter and meet him in person or call the staff to find out more.

As Pet of the Week, Old Man Sam's adoption fee is just $100 (usually $267.21). This includes microchipping, desexing, vaccination, flea treatment, worming and lifetime NSW registration.

If you'd like to adopt him ask yourself: Is a mature dog best for me? What size dog would suit me? Should the dog have endless energy or be a couch potato to watch TV with? Is my home noisy or quiet?
