UPDATE:

A teenage girl who went missing from her Fairfield West home earlier this week has been located safe and well.

The 14-year-old teen was last seen at her home about 7.25am on Thursday, June 20.

About 9.45pm yesterday (Monday, June 24) police from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended an address at Fairfield and spoke to the missing girl.

Police would like to thank the media and members of the community for their assistance.

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a teenage girl who went missing from her Fairfield West home last week.

Fatimah Al-Shihan, 14, was last seen at her home about 7.25am on Thursday, June 20. It's believed Fatimah has access to some money.

Fairfield police officers and her family hold concerns for her welfare as the disappearance is out of character.

She is described as having an olive complexion, about 160 centimetre to 165 centimetres tall, of thin build, with brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. When last seen Fatimah was wearing her school sports uniform and may be carrying a black backpack.
