Bossley Sports football secretary Jason Marfia said the secret to the club reaching its 30th anniversary in 2019 was a simple one.
"We are a community-orientated and family-friendly club. You will often see siblings in the same team and they bring along their friends," he said.
"You want to be competitive but you also want to have fun. We are inclusive of everyone."
Bossley Sports Club - which includes football and netball components - are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a fun day at their Bossley Park base of Terone Park on June 30.
Marfia said the day was a chance to say thank you to the community for keeping the club alive. There will be a jumping castle, music, sausage sizzle and fun and games hosted by Motiv8sports.
The club believes it originates from the adjoining Mary Immaculate church which is why they have a cross in their emblem. Their club philosophy is Strive to Achieve.
The year the club has 250 registered football players across 19 teams. They also have 50 netball players who compete in the Liverpool City Netball competition.
Last year their over-35s football team made the Champion of Champions. This year the under-12s and under-13s teams remain undefeated.
- The fun day is being held at Terone Park on June 30, 10am to 4pm.
