Between late April and early May, several businesses in the Canley Vale and Canley Heights CBD were broken into. On, May 6, Police arrested a 39-year-old manfrom Canley Heights who was charged with the break, enter with intent, two counts of aggravated break and enter and four counts of beak, enter and steal
He was bail refused to Fairfield Local Court, however granted bail and will next appear at Parramatta Drug Court on May 22.
Disqualified driver caught behind wheel
At 3am on Tuesday, May 7, police stopped a vehicle on Canley Vale Road, Canley Heights. The driver was unable to produce a licence and checks revealed she was disqualified from driving until September 2022. The 39-year-old woman from Whalan also had two outstanding court warrants. She is bail refused to Penrith Local Court on May 16.
At 9:45pm on Wednesday, May 8, police stopped a vehicle on Lansdowne Road, Canley Vale. The driver was not able to produce a licence and checks revealed he was disqualified until March 2021. A search of the vehicle located and amount of methylamphetamine and heroin. The 39-year-old man from Newington was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug and driving while disqualified. He is bail refused to Liverpool Local Court on June 20.
Youth found in stolen vehicle
At 10pm on Saturday, May 11, police stopped a vehicle on Chatham Street, Canley Heights. Checks revealed the vehicle to be stolen. The 16-year-old boy driver from Bonnyrigg was charged with never being licensed and taking and driving a conveyance without the consent. He was initially bail refused, however granted bail at court and will next appear at Parramatta Children's Court on May 28.
