AFL club Fairfield Falcons will benefit to the tune of $8000 if Labor is elected this month.
McMahon MP Chris Bowen visited the club on Saturday to announce, if elected, a Labor Government will invest to improve facilities at Endeavour Sports Reserve.
The funding will go towards installation of posts costing as well as the purchase of line marking and canteen equipment (including an additional barbecue).
The money would also be used to buy a manual scoreboard and equipment for volunteer coaches.
"This is an important investment in our current student athletes and to encourage new players to take up the sport. As an avid fan of the game, and dad of a junior AFL player, I know the difference this funding will make for the club," Mr Bowen said.
AFL NSW/ACT Local Area Manager Adam Clough said: "With the year round engagement programs at local schools, we are expecting the number of participants to boom in the next few years."
