GROWING THE SOUTH-WEST | Giant land lots up to 1962 square metres

In a departure from the national trend to smaller lots, Dahua has released new super-sized blocks at its NewBreeze estate at Bardia, ranging from 1246 to 1962 square metres.

First-home buyers Hasan Al-Dhalimy, 27, and his wife NikkiMcFadden, 27, bought one of the 1247-square-metre lots. Hasan said: "I've worked in Ingleburn for the past 10 years and driven past New Breeze for several years to watch its progress. When the quarter-acre lots were advertised we were instantly sold.

"A large backyard with plenty of open space for the kids to run around plus a big house to entertain family and friends was important to us. My office is a five-minute drive away, Nikki works at three Campbelltown schools and can easily get there from Bardia. We loved that we can walk to Bardia Public School, the new Edmondson Park Town Centre and Edmondson station."

New Breeze sales manager StephenBambury said: "Buyers from Campbelltown, Liverpool and Fairfield looking to capitalise on the South-West expansion have bought in the community. In recent weeks we've also had enquiries from the North-West Corridor and broader Sydney. Hundreds of jobs are being created here, new businesses are opening, home frames are everywhere and several cranes are visible across the region."

The State government has committed $3.b in its Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan over 10 years. Investment in bus and rail, health, education and community infrastructure are part of this.

Campbelltown is in the middle of the South West Growth Corridor. Its population is forecast to grow from 158,941 to about 300,000 by 2036 according to the National Institute of Economic and Industry Research 2015.

This will position Campbelltown, encompassing Bardia, at the forefront of Sydney's metropolitan development.

New Breeze spans 89 hectares and will comprise about 1300 homes when completed in 2020. It will have large high-quality parks and playgrounds, a sports oval, bike and cycle paths and 40 hectares of open space.

Super-sized land lots at New Breeze start at $630,900 (terms and conditions).
