Moving pictures: Liverpool & District Historical Society will travel back in time at its next meeting as they go not to the movies, not the cinema but to the "pictures". After singing the National Anthem "God Save the King", sit back with your jaffas and binge on Cinesound and Movietone Liverpool newsreels from the 1930s through to the early 1970s. It's all on the big screen at the Crossroads Hotel on Saturday, April 13 from 1.30pm. Sell your stuff: My Kids Market is coming to Michael Clarke Recreation Centre, Carnes Hill on Sunday, May 19 from 9am-noon. My Kids Market is run by mums for mums and caters to all baby and kids needs from pregnancy and newborns to children aged eight and sometimes older. Families who want to upcycle their kid's quality preloved toys, clothing and nursery items and make some quick cash can host a stall for $60.
