People often talk about the demise of the agricultural show but Camden Show continues to go from strength to strength.

The annual event is back and bigger than ever on April 5 and 6.

Camden Show secretary Jo Martin said this year's show was set to be another fantastic event full of family fun with loads to see and do.

"The committee have been working hard to ensure the agricultural, horticultural, commercial and industrial resources of the Macarthur Region are showcased through competition, exhibition and entertainment for everyone of all ages to enjoy," she said.

"Everyone should come to the Camden Show to experience what a fantastic show it is, to see and learn where our food really comes from and to support the wonderful talented community that we live in."

This year the show will be taking a step into the future as electronic tickets can now be purchased online meaning you can use your phone to enter the show.

"You can save time and avoid the queues by purchasing your one-day admission tickets online and simply get your printed ticket or electronic device scanned at the gates," Ms Martin said.

"There is still the option of purchasing tickets at the gates if you don't use the online option.

"Don't forget to get a stamp as you leave if you want to come back again later on the same day."

Some of the new events on offer this year include ranch sorting which is a western-style equestrian sport requiring competitors to  separate cattle into different pens.

Dog Flyball races will be held on both days this year and visitors can enjoy a range of new acts, musicians, performers and groups on the entertainment stage.

Ms Martin said the show was a popular event with more than 41,000 people attending year after year.

"It is the largest community event in Macarthur providing a diverse range of things to see and do for all ages," she said.

"This keeps people coming back."

Camden Show will be held at the Camden Bicenntenial Equestrian Park.
