Sunday's charity drive at Luddenham Raceway is more than about fancy cars and the need for speed.

It is about Ehsan Huseyin. The little fighter who was diagnosed with leukaemia one-week after his third birthday in October.

It is about his journey which will seem him go to The Children's Hospital at Westmead every three weeks for week-long treatments for the next eight months.

It is about Metin Huseyin, Eshan's dad, who will participate in the World's Greatest Shave as a way to give back to the Leukaemia Foundation who have helped Huseyin and other Leukaemia sufferers win the race for life.

Metin is captain of the eight-person Elite Incredibles team which is made up of families and friends.

The charity event is in support the Leukaemia Foundation who help support families like the Huseyin family. Pictured are Metin, wife Emine and Ehsan.

Their original goal was to raise $13,500. In four weeks, they have already raised more than $18,000 ahead of the Happy Laps for a Cure fundraiser on Sunday with people able to experience a ride in a Ford Mustang V8 or HSV V8 Commodore as well as European sport cars for a $20 donation. The pit area at Luddo will be converted into a family-friendly precinct with food trucks and car displays with all proceeds going to the Leukemia Foundation - the only national charity dedicated to helping more Australians with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related disorders survive their blood cancer and live a better quality of life.

Metin said his son was the driving force behind his decision to be involved in the event. "It has been a tough time for the family but the outlook is very promising for a full recovery. We just have to pray it doesn't come back," he said. "I was originally going to do the shave at Total Tools Penrith and one thing led to another and now it is at Luddenham Raceway which is great and hopefully we can raise lots of money."

The team from the World's Greatest Shave will be on hand providing hair colouring and head shaving. There will also be raffles, a monster truck and a drift car experience. Australian Motor Racing Champion, Ian Luff has also donated his time.
