The Fairfield  City  Local  Business  Awards are back and Precedent Productions’ managing director Steve Loe is calling on you to nominate your favourite businesses.

Steve founded the awards three-plus decades ago as an opportunity for the community to encourage and show appreciation for outstanding providers of goods and services.

“Business owners, managers and staff work hard and often go above and beyond to help their clients and customers,” he said. “As a community we reap the benefits of their efforts, which can make our own lives happier and easier in so many ways.

“Sometimes it’s as simple as a friendly smile and sympathetic ear from the staff in a shop that lifts our spirits when we’re having a bad day. Or it may be a supplier who works tirelessly to ensure an urgent stock delivery reaches us on time. Nominating someone for their outstanding service or products is a great way to thank these people, the backbone of our community.”

He said businesses could also self-nominate to show staff how much their efforts were valued.

Nominating is as simple as filling in the coupon in store or online at the awards’ website (below).

Everyone who nominates a business will be in the running to win a GoPro Hero 7 Silver.

  • Major sponsors: Fairfield Council, Club Marconi and Nova Employment. Support sponsors: Stockland Wetherill Park, Neeta City Shopping Centre, Fairfield Forum, Bonnyrigg Plaza, Cabramatta Plaza, Greenfield Park Shopping Village and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Mr Loe said the sponsors wanted to support the efforts of Fairfield businesses and acknowledge their important role in the community. “The awards are only possible because of the sponsors and their support.”

Nominations for the Fairfield awards closes onMarch 5, with the winners announced at the presentation night on May 1.

The Fairfield Champion will provide weekly updates on the progress of the awards and will also run a finalists’ feature and winners’ feature.
