Police are appealing for information following two separate suspicious fires late early Sunday morning.

About 2am, emergency services were called to an industrial complex on Newton Road at WetherillPark, where they found a fire outside a small business.

The fire was extinguished but a large amount of material was damaged.

A crime scene was established at the business, which continues to be forensically examined.

About 40 minutes later, emergency services responded to a house fire on Waterside Crescent at Carramar.

The home was substantially damaged.

The occupant wasn’t home at the time and no one was injured.

Fairfield police are conducting inquiries into the fires, which are both being treated as suspicious.

They’re appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The fires aren’t believed to be linked.
