POLICE | Appeal over suspicious death of Cabramatta boy, 2

Police investigating last year’s death of a Cabramatta boy, 2, have renewed an appeal for information.

Arsalan Fard was presented unconscious at Westmead hospital last year about 9pm on August 3 and despite the efforts of hospital staff couldn’t be revived.

Inquiries suggest the boy most likely was injured at Cabramatta before being driven to Westmead hospital about 9pm by his mother and other people.

A post-mortem examination was done and his death is being treated as suspicious.

Fairfield police established Strike Force Jillalla to investigate his death.

On September 26 last year, investigators searched a property on Park Road at Cabramatta and took several items.

The investigation continues and about 6pm yesterday police canvassed Park Road at Cabramatta again, hoping to speak to anyone with information that may help.

Police continue to appeal for anyone in the area with possibly helpful information to contact Fairfield police.

This address is near a shopping centre and police believe several people may have seen something.

A photo of a Toyota Corolla, similar to the car used to take Arsalan to hospital, has been released by investigators.
