POLICE | Witnesses sought of Fairfield collision where victim died next day

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash that may have led to the death of a Fairfield woman last month.

About 4.30pm on December 18, Minda Limbo, 55, was crossing Station Street at Fairfield, near the Granville Street intersection, when it’s believed she was hit by a small, grey SUV.

After the collision she fell and hit her head on the road.

It’s believed the driver of the car stopped and several people helped. After a short time, Ms Limbo went back to her home on Granville Street.

Police and ambulance officers were called and arrived soon after being called but everyone had already left.

Next day, Ms Limbo died at home.

An autopsy revealed injuries consistent with her involvement in the car collision.

Fairfield police have started an investigation and are asking for witnesses, as well as the SUV driver, to come forward.

Security images of Ms Limbo on a bus (pictured) shortly before the incident have been released.

At the time, she was wearing long dark pants, a light pink jacket, a blue wide-brimmed hat and white shoes.
