As the festive season arrives and 2018 concludes our city kicks into Christmas mode. Last Thursday night Epoch Plaza was bursting from the seams as residents gathered sharing the spirit of Christmas by participating in Christmas carols and the lighting of the tree.
On Friday, December 7 the Christmas spirit continued with more crowds taking to the streets for the Starr Partners annual trolley drive.
Local schools, businesses and members of the community paraded through the main shopping centre with hundreds of trollies filled with groceries, toys and other items suitable for Christmas gifts for the needy.
Members of the Fairfield City business community share the excitement of the new year to come with 12 urban designed and planned major sites ranging from 2500sqm to 26,000sqm within the Fairfield CBD closer to commencement.
With Christmas only days away many of our local businesses are offering fantastic deals and bargains.
I recommend shoppers to shop local and take advantage of these savings and support local businesses.
On behalf of Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and myself, I take this opportunity to wish you and your families all the best in the coming festive period and look forward to seeing what awaits this amazing city of ours in 2019.
