An Aldi mayonnaise has been recalled over fears of faulty packaging.

The product involved the 466g jars of Colway Real Mayonnaise, the NSW Food Authority warned.

There are fears the jars have a “potential for glass breakage”.

Consumers should return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.

“Faulty packaging could cause injury or result in glass contamination,” the warning reads.

If you are concerned about your health you should seek medical advice.

The ALDI Food Recall Hotline is on 1800 709 993.

Earlier this week a popular brand of apple pie was recalled due to the potential presence of glass in an ingredient.

Unlike the mayonaise situation which involves all jars, the pie recall is for products with a best before date of October 21, 2020 or October 22, 2020 only.
