West Sydney physiotherapist charged over concealed camera

A physiotherapist will appear in court today charged after allegedly filming patients at a West Sydney clinic.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command were called to the clinic on Monday, November 12, after a concealed camera was located in a changeroom.

It will be alleged in court the camera was concealed in a wall-hung clothes hook and captured patients getting changed.

Police seized the device and commenced inquiries.

About 1pm on Tuesday, November 13, a 52-year-old man attended Cabramatta Police Station.

He was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station.

A search warrant was executed at his private home where police seized a number of items.

The man was charged with two counts of filming a person's private parts without consent and installing a device to observe or film others.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Fairfield Local Court today (Monday, December 3).
