The opening of Prestons Place shopping centre at Prestons has provided opportunity for more than 150 jobs, including positions at the new Woolworths. Most jobs are already filled.

Job-seekers can also contact individual specialty stores at the centre for recruitment opportunities.

Woolworths jobs are advertised online at wowcareers.com.au.

The new Woolworths supermarket at Prestons Place will open on Wednesday, December 5, at 5pm.

Construction of the $30+ million investment in the local community began in January and is anticipated to be a premier convenience shopping and dining destination with retail space of more than 5000 square metres.

“The new Woolworths will be 4000 square metres and will feature a new shopping experience while continuing to deliver great prices, a vibrant fresh food offer and the convenience locals are looking for,” said Woolworths regional development manager TonyPratt.

This will be complemented by a range of specialty stores, including a Pharmacy4Less, a dentist and a medical centre. The food quarter has restaurants and eateries with many cuisines, like Thai, Chinese, manoosh, pizza and burgers.

It’s on Camden Valley Way at Prestons, with parking for 250+ cars, including spots for disabled drivers and parents’ parking. “It’ll provide a greater range of stores and improved retail amenities, while maintaining a design complementing the local environment,” Mr Pratt said.

“It’ll provide greater variety as a shopping destination with restaurants ideal for families. TIte represents Woolworths’ commitment to the area.”

Opening celebrations start on December 5 at 5pm and continue over the next weeks, including children’s entertainment with appearances by Marvel characters Iron Man and Captain America, plus giveaways and opening specials from Woolworths and the specialty stores.

Prestons Place will provide greater variety as a shopping destination with restaurants ideal for families. The development represents our commitment to the area.
