Three Cabravale Shotokan Dojo students excelled at the recent national seminar for Shotokan Karate Australia in Queensland.

Bryton Yau, 14, and Jean-Piere Matar, 21, successfully passed their shodan blackbelt (1st dan blackbelt)  and Joshua Fellew, 21, successfully completed his sandan blackbelt (3rd dan blackbelt).

The gradings were at the conclusion of the week, which tested students knowledge and skills from their many years of karate training.

The national seminar attracted people from across the country and featured guest instructors from Japan, Shuseki Shihan Manabu Murakami (8th Dan) and Sensei Daizo Kanazawa (6th Dan).
