Westfields Sports High School’s quest for three straight NSW Schoolboy Cup titles ended at the hands of Patrician Brothers' College, Blacktown 34-20 on Wednesday.

In front a sizable crowd at Campbelltown Stadium, Westfields’ start matched the sizzling spring temperature with halves Jake Averillo and Tommy Talau crossing the stripe to give the Fairfield West school a 12-0 lead.

But a year after Westfields produced a second half comeback to eliminate Blacktown, the 2012 champions rallied either side of the break scoring four straight tries (including one from a short kick-off to start the second half) to set up the victory.

Patrician Brothers' College, Blacktown, who made four straight finals between 2012- 2015, will now play Palm Beach Currumbin State High in the national final.
