Tickets are now on sale for Fairfield’s latest attraction: Icetopia.
Fairfield Council are transforming the Aquatopia water park into a New York-style Central Park ice-skating rink for the July school holidays
Icetopia will feature a 250-square-metre outdoor ice skating rink complete with the winter magic of lights and entertainment between July 7 and 22.
Icetopia will be open from 11am to 8.30pm, with six daily 60-minute skating sessions available every day of the school holidays.
Tickets will include skate hire and be available for $10 for one person or $20 for three people. Sessions numbers will be limited to a maximum of 100 people with themed skate aids available for beginners.
Fairfield mayor Frank Carbone has said Icetopia will give local families a chance to create magical winter memories in their own backyard.
“Many in our community want an alpine winter but don’t want to deal with crowded ski fields, so this year, families will be able to capture the season right here in Fairfield,” he said.
“We’ll be bringing the mystique of winter to Fairfield City and Icetopia will be the perfect destination for families to enjoy the warming atmosphere which will be filled with fun and laughter.
“Icetopia will bring Fairfield ice skating, family entertainment, music, food vans, lighting and decorations. The perfect destination for an action packed school holiday and affordable fun for the whole family.”
