P-plater hits three cars, blows 0.199

At 11:50am on Thursday, June 7, a p-plater drove his silver Toyota Corolla on Galton Street Wetherill Park colliding with a parked Toyota Cressida.  He continued on colliding with a parked Toyota Hilux, and then a  parked Toyota Camry eventually coming to a stop. Police were called and the driver recorded a positive breath test.  The subsequent breath analysis recorded a reading of 0.199. The 38-year-old male p-plate licence holder from Smithfield was charged with high-range drink driving and negligent driving. He will appear at Fairfield Local Court on July 3.  His licence was suspended immediately. 

Drugs located

At 2pm on Monday, June 4, police stopped a vehicle on Bartley Street Canley Vale.  A search of the vehicle and driver located an amount of heroin and methylamphetamine (ICE).  A 48-year-old male from Bonnyrigg was charged with two counts of possessing prohibited drugs and will appear at Fairfield Local Court on August 6.

Oil theft

A 39-year-old male from Merrylands has been charged with stealing after entering a store in the Fairfield Forum Shopping centre on Tuesday, June 5 and allegedly taking three 4L tins of oil and leaving without paying.  He will appear at Fairfield Local Court on July 2.  

Man charged

On  May 13, a house on Kiora Street Canley Heights was broken into with a large amount of property taken.  On  May 30, a 22-year-old male from Canley Heights was arrested on Arbutus Street. He was charged with break, enter and steal and appear at court on July 16.
