Marconi Stallions coach Peter Tsekenis felt his team dropped two competition points after their 2-2 draw with Bonnyrigg on Saturday night.

With both teams coming off mid-week FFA Cup clashes, it was the visitors who struck first courtesy of a Ray Miller free kick from outside the box.

The home dominated the contest from that point on and were able to capitalise on large chunks of position with two goals in nine minutes after the break.

Sean Rooney played provider for Peter Pelekanos for the first goal before he scored the second himself from a corner.

Just as quickly as they gained the lead, they lost it again with Shervin Adeli restoring parity from the penalty spot after a hand ball in the box by Chris Nunes.

“I am disappointed that we didn’t win that game. We conceded an early goal from a set-piece but we asked a lot of questions in the first half and got back early in the second half when we scored our two goals,” Tsekenis said.
