Pursuit ends with charges

At 8pm on Thursday, May 10, police were involved in a pursuit around Canley Heights up to Bonnyrigg when a white Toyota Corolla failed to stop for police. The vehicle came to a stop in Harricks Place, Bonnyrigg where the offenders ran on foot being caught a short distance away.

The 19-year-old male driver from Cabramatta was charged with nine offences including possessing a prohibited weapon, reckless driving and goods in custody. He was bail refused to Fairfield Local Court on June 13

An 18-year-old male passenger from Bonnyrigg was charged with being carried in vehicle taken without consent.  He was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on June 4.

Steroids found

At 12:30am on Tuesday, May 8 police stopped a vehicle on Cowpasture Road, Bossley Park. A search of the vehicle located several vials of steroids without a prescription. The 23-year-old male from Pendle Hill was charged with two counts of possessing an  anabolic steroid and will appear at Fairfield Local Court on June 4.

Robbery charges 

A 14-year-old female from Fairfield Heights and a 15-year-old female from Ingleburn have been charged with robbery after taking a 34-year-old female’s bag containing her personal belongings, wallet and mobile phone on May 7 from a park on Station Street Fairfield Heights. Both females were granted conditional bail to Parramatta Children’s Court on May 28. 

Taser located 

At 3:30pm on Friday, May 11, police searched a male on Pevensey Street at Canley Vale.  Police located an electronic control device (taser). The 37-year-old male from Canley Vale was charged with possessing a prohibited weapon without permit and using a prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order. He is bail refused and will appear at Fairfield Local Court on May 16.
