Wetherill Park beauty advisor Maria Bravo headed to Melbourne last weekend to prepare for a week’s work at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Miss Bravo, 31, works at Priceline and was one of 20 beauty advisors selected from over 650 other applicants across the country to be part of the fashion show.

As the official 2018 Hair and Beauty Partner of the festival, Priceline Pharmacy provides all products used to create the hair and beauty looks for every runway show across the event.

But Miss Bravo said she wasn’t too fazed. It was the third time she’d taken on the gig.

“It’s a real honour to be chosen for this – it’s my third time so I do feel quite lucky,” she said.

“I think they must like to pick people who have experienced it before, the oldies! So we can coach the new beauty advisors.

“The fashion show has been something I’ve looked forward to every year. Not only do you get an amazing experience but on the last day we get to take a seat and watch the runway.”

Miss Bravo said the highlight of the gig has been working with well-known models such as Samantha Harris, but also to help guests at the Priceline Pharmacy pop-up beauty lounge on site, providing makeovers and beauty tips.

However, she told the Champion, she’s not planning to re-apply for next year’s event: “I just feel like it’s time to give someone else a go!”
