Kids get crash course in circus tricks in Willowdale

Running away and joining the circus is a dream that most kids have at one point in their lives.

Today, some lucky youngsters were given a glimpse into the life of a circus performer.

Stockland’s at Willowdale hosted a two-and-a-half hour workshop at Willowdale Regional Park for children aged five to 14.

Those who took part were shown the art of hoola-hooping, juggling, plate spinning, partner acrobatics and playing the diablo.

Stockland’s NSW senior development manager of residential communities, Sophie Readman, said there were a number of benefits for those who took part in the workshop.

“This circus workshop is not only a top boredom buster activity for the holidays, but a way for youngsters and families to further connect with their neighbours in a beautiful park setting,” she said.
